I have researched my shop manual, but with no luck.  I found that the defrost, heater, and temp cables are in need of replacement.

I can see on the dash heater switch how to disconnect, but how to get to the other end of the cables to disconnect?  Do I take the glove box out?

Confused,

John

If a 68 is in any way similiar to a 66 then yes remove the glove box. This is necessary for a 65-66. If the 68 still uses the little top hat shaped push on keepers that hold the cable end onto the levers, they can be worked off with needle nosed pliers or small vise grips and reused.

Dear Cushman,

Thanks, I thought this might be the case.
