so hook a jumper wire (aligator clips at both ends) at one end to the light bulb socket base and the other one to ground, it they light up you have a bad ground on the inst panel (dash lights)if they don't light up, may be bad bulbs.  door switches go bad, jumper around them, if the lights come on, the sw are bad. if they don't come on look at the bulbs.  I also sounds like bad bulbs on the RH directionals, a bad flasher or a bad turn signal switch.

So with the battery connected and the headlight switch on ..is there power to the Blue/red stripe wire on the connector at the cluster ?

The headlight switch directly feeds the voltage to the Blue Red wire from a wire that directly comes from the Battery (BLK-YEL wire hooked to the starter relay.  That same source of voltage is also the power for the courstey lights thru the 7.5 Amp fuse. I suspect you're missing the voltage going into the headlight switch plug on the Black Orange wire. Let me know if you need a diagram of the circuit and I'll send it to you with mark ups.
