I am replacing my old alternator with a system from a 1992 Thunderbird, actually the whole engine, and wondered if there is an electrical wizzard out there that can tell me where the 3 wires from the alternator plug would connect to the harness on the stock 1967.
I may be making this harder than it is, but I can't figure out how to eliminate the external regulator on the 67.
It may be easier to use the existing regulator and not use the one on the Tbird alternator.
Any suggestions?

if this is a G2 alternator I highly suggest replacing it with a G3 due to the fire hazzard of the G2 output spade lugs. there is a website called www.fordfuelinjection.com and they have alternator wiring diagrams. A G3 from a 1994-95 5.0 Mustang puts out 130 amps and has the older style stud & nut output post so there is no fire hazzard from a loose connection. I am not sure what the 92 came with. the G3 comes with a 6 rib belt but a V belt pulley fits as this is what I use in my 65. The G3 has a built in regulator and you hook the "I" terminal wire from the alt to the Light-green/red wire that your 1G alt was hooked to ,this wire goes to the ignition switch, the yellow wire jumps to the output post ,use at least a 4 guage wire from the alt to the solenoid ,I use a 2 guage wire, disguard the core support mounted external regulator. also if you have an alt dash light jump a 510 ohm (+ -10%) 1 watt resistor across it so the light goes out after the engine cranks.Jeff
