Battery and oil gauges stuck at right of normal.  Needles haven't moved for about a week.  Temp gauge needle first moved right of normal and is now inverted.  Also for about a week.  2005 Mustang, V6.  HELP!

I DON;T HAVE A SOLUTION, BUT THE PROBLEM SOUNDS FAMILIAR.  MY TEMP GAUGE NEEDLE HAS BEEN BURIED WAY TO THE RIGHT OF HOT FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.  NOW THE FUEL GAUGE IS OCCASIONALLY DOING THE SAME THING. THAT IS HOW THE PROBLEM WITH THE TEMP GAUGE BEGAN--WITH INTERMITTENT MISREADINGS THAT EVENTUALLY BECAME PERMANENT.

I TALKED THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP.  THEIR SOLUTION WOULD INVOLVE REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.  THIS WOULD INCLUDE THE ODOMETER AND THE PAPERWORK OF MILEAGE VERIFICATION.  THEY SAID IT WOULD TOTAL AROUND $800.  THAT SEEMS PRETTY PRICEY FOR REPLACEMENT OF TWO SMALL GAUGES.

UNLESS FORD HAS BOUGHT A LOT OF CRAPPY GAUGES (NOT OUT OF THE REALM OF POSSIBILITY, I KNOW), I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER IF THERE ISN'T SOME SORT OF WIRING SHORT CAUSING THIS.

You also might want to research the Ford Explorer and the Lincoln MKS.
