for 1970 there were 2 versions, low compression 2 barrel
and high compression 4 barrel

Question is, were the heads the only difference in the compression?
same pistons for 2v and 4 v?

Millions post doesnt specifically answer the piston question so I checked the Ford parts interchange manual. It doesnt address the pistons either but it does say they use the same rods. Also it says that it was possible to find 2v versions with 4 bolt mains because presumably they were used interchangeably by the factory depending on what they had on hand. All Boss and Cobra Jet engines(4v) had 4 bolt mains. So I think its a good bet the pistons were the same.
