I have an '02 gt automatic and a couple of days ago my check engine light came on, indicating a misfire (cylinder 8) when i pulled out the ign. coil fond enough coolant that the whole plug was submersed. I cleaned it out put it back together and car ran fine. I then checked the rest of the plugs and only the driver side cylinder bank had coolant. Anybody know why this would happen? Car doesnt smoke.

I've not had any experience with the 4.6 V8 but I looked at the Autozone Repair guides (have to register to use) and it talks like the therm housing is located at the lower rad hose. No mention of removing intake. Give a look see, they may be out in left field too.

Finally I fixed it. I was putting it off just being lazy. Anyways i did have to remove the whole intake, fuel rail the whole top end expect the heads. Runs very smooth I took the time to clean the throttle body while I had it off.
