Howdy,

I'm looking at a 1970 fastback and was wondering is there anything in particular I should be concerned about or look for? I'm a newbie but not a complete idiot (subject to personal opinion..lol).

Any 411 you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks

rust in the trunk, frame rails, floor boards under the carpet, rocker panels. cracked shock towers(these are repairable). signs of front frame rail damage from front end wreck. take a bondo detector magnet to check for bondo , the biggest problem would be a rusty car that would need lots of panels replaced and i would not buy such a car. mechanicl stuff such as a woe out engine or trans can be rebuilt but would also bring the price way down.P.S. I am an incomplete 1D10T !!!

What does it have in it motor and transmission?  Is it a Mach 1?
