Hey fellas and ladies, I have an unusual request but one that is very heart warming and also very sad. Recently a lady I work with lost her daughter in a drunk driver accident. Her daughter (17 and completely sober) was a passenger in a new camaro driven by an intoxicated 21 year old male. The driver flew through a stop sign at over 90 mph and careeneed into a large tree. The car was split in two and 2 of the passengers died before the night ended (Tonya's daughter died on impact or shortly there after and the driver died on the way to the hospital, the 3rd only suffered a fractured ankle and slight bruise on her head). Upon seeing Tonya's face when the police came into our work to ask her to come to the morgue to identify her daughter by the tattoo on her body (which is the only way she was able to say it was for sure her daughter, dont get me started on how mutilated the bodies were)it hit me like a ton of bricks that something must be done for her. Her funeral bills have mounted to in excess of $3,000 not to mention her other necessary living expenses. For many this is nothing and see no plight in the situation, however, those of us who wait your tables and live on your tips it is a fair sum of money. My idea is thus...a benefit car show. I would like to host a benefit car show in order to help Tonya (and you thought I was just gonna ask for money). My idea is to charge a small fee per car to enter (roughly $50)and the help of vendors to contribute to a raffle and to simply show up. Now, my question is would anyone who reads this post and his or her friends be interested in coming to Norman, Oklahoma to help me make a mourning mother begin her healing process. I know this is a lot to ask as show season comes to a close and we all pack our wonderful horses in the garage to buy parts and get ready for next summer, but this is special and guys if you saw her you would know. Others at my work are trying to come up with other ways to help, but I know I was raised right when my father taught me Mustangs were not only a car but a class of people; people who care and will help at a moments notice. Thank you all and as always if you have any ideas please dont hesitate to let me know. I am only a simple college guy who has a heart. I have never run a car show, only participated. Thanks again and I know if Tonya knew this was happening she would thank you too.

God bless you for being a good human. I'm on the west coast so I'm not able to participate locally, but give the Mustang Club of America a call/email and see what they can help you with.
