Tips on using the textured black DDL 9381 paint from duracryl.

I have a huge issue right now with the hood I'm doing, first the stencil measurements were off so the all the pinstripes didn't match up so i taped them out by hand and then when i peeled the tape off it took out ticks in the edge so it wasn't a perfect straight edge. I did a bunch of test lines to see the different times and what they would do to the edges and i cant find a happy medium of when to pull the tape off. Does anybody have any tips i could really use the help! Thanks in advance
