How does one attach an NOS chrome quarter trim to the quarter panel scoop?
It took me almost an hour to assemble the scoop assembly, several of the spring nuts(supplied by Ford in the NOS box) kept flying off. All the while I'm thinking....These pins look too long.... Before getting anymore flustrated I decided to place it on the car and see if the pins were too long. YES THEY ARE. As soon as I tried to place it flush, the chrome pins contact the body and off comes the chrome trim off the scoop. There has to be a way to do this properly without tearing things up. I would appreciate the help. Thanks!
