Can it fit 17" wheels from a 94 and up mustang on my 66 coupe?

Not to try to distract from the original question, but I'd like some advice or experience from someone who has put the newer 16" wheels from the V6 05-up Mustangs on a 67-70 Mustang. The bolt pattern is correct, but I'm not sure about backspace and clearance issues. does an adapter exist or is it the same as mentioned in the referenced articles? Any advice? thanks
