I am going to purchase a 67 mustang coupe with an * inch rear and I would like to know what donor cars with 9 inch rear ends are a direct bolt in swap? I know the 57-59 fords are a direct swap for 65-66 cars but not sure on the 67-70 cars.

Find out the distance between the rear spring perch, center to center is 43" for '69 &'70. The housing width should be 54 1/4 " for all 67 to 70 Mustangs 8" & 9" . I believe the 57 & 59 Ford big cars have a 52 1/4 " housing.You can adjust the tire offset for the overall housing width, but be sure the spring perches are the same.I have a '69 Mach 1.
