I have asked about this before but I am still having problems so, is there any way to know if your tranny shift modulator is origonal or if it is adjustable at all and what is the simplest way to adjust it? what else could it be when my tranny hunts between gears and then shift to the correct gear? Thanks

The earlier answers still apply: Use a small allen wrench (if you have an adjustable modulator) to adjust shifts up or down. Replace modulator if current unit acts wierd and can't be adjusted. Check to be sure vacuum line off back of intake manifold to modulator isn't clogged, cracked, or leaking. Make sure your trans fluid level is good. Make sure your kickdown linkage is adjusted right.

Pg 60 of the August MM has a pretty good article on rebuilding a C4. Note that the govenor controls when the upshift and downshift occurs. pg 64 has a chart on when to expect the shifts. jlg
