Bought a wrecked 65 Coupe. Passenger door and fender damaged, rocker panels destroyed. I can't find replacement panel for mounting the door to the frame.I'm new to all of this so if the lingo is off don't throw rocks!!! I'm a single mom, bought the car for my daughter.

Look at National Parts Depot catalog and ones like it. They sometimes have repro replacement sheetmetal parts. If they don't then contact some place like Mustang Ranch in Fresno. CA. that has old Mustang wrecks that they can cut the piece out of and then you can have welded on to your car.

well like jbirch said most parts can be bought from npd. theres a few others and all have to be ordered. also check craigslist in the auto parts section and check under mustang parts. thing is thats alot of welding if the rocker panels are bad and need replacing. where you located maybe someone can take a look and give you some pointers. by the way i dont throw rocks cause i was a beginner at this once myself. now i just throw tools when something doesnt go right.
i'm in the tampa area if thats close i'll be glad to help

Hey guys, Thanks for the info. I have several parts catalogues and I'll also check Craigslist. My brother has a welding shop so that's not an issue. Unfortunately I'm south of Houston, otherwise I'd take you up on the help.Thank you both for the reply...B

That part is called the "cowl side panel" and I've only seen it in the California Mustangs catalog (1-800-775-0101).  It is PN: M133L or M133R and runs about 40 Bucks. jlg

Thanks for the info, California Mustang is one catalog I don't have. I'll give them a call and check it out. Thanks again, Pam

I have a '65 coupe and I get a lot of my parts from "Obsolete and Classic Auto Parts, Inc" they specialize in classic Mustangs. Their website is www.classicautoparts.com and their phone number is 1-800-654-3247. They have always been extremely helpful and knowledgable. I am a young female and they are always respectful and honest. Good luck with your Mustang, I love mine!
