I've just become the owner of my first classic car, a 1966 Mustang coupe, that is in pretty good overall condition. It went through a restoration in 2007 with an Edelbrock Performer carb, ceramic coated headers and a Flowmaster H pipe exhaust added. From what I was told the rest is original (289 v8 and auto c4 trans, with less than 86k original miles. I got the original carb and exhaust manifold that were saved. The car also got front disc brake conversion, new front and rear suspension, paint, and the original factory air was changed over to R134 and blows cold. the interior is in like new condition as well. I'm very excited about owning this beauty (as you can probably tell) and I am looking foward to enjoying it. Just wanted to say hello!

Thats great! My I have a 65' coupe thats kinda in limbo with the restoration but it runs great for bein all but 45 years old!! Just make sure to catch any rust before it becomes an issue, especially above the windows, that little ledge thats up there loves to hold water. In case you havent already figured out its a chick magnet! This coming from a 18 year old shouldnt be supprising. But enjoy it for as long as you can, hopefully for a great long while!

Wow, I just bought a 66 coupe today and boy am I excited as well. I wish it was in as good condition as yours but hopefully it will be in the near future. I bought it from a friend who has had it in his garage since he bought it 16 years ago as a project car and then just looked at it. After about 3 yrs of begging him to do something with it he finally did by selling it to me lol. I owned a 69 2+2 when I was in High school back in the mid 70's and sold it when I went into the Marines and have wanted another since. It has a few dings and dents but nothing severe on the body but inside looks like it went through a war and lost. I am looking forward to getting started on it but quite frankly dont know where to start...Oh well enjoy your pony and hope to see you in it out on the road someday.
