I have a '68 Mustang, the biggest problem right now is the floor pan on the drivers side is mostly rusted out, the rust has been cut out, and there was another smaller spot on the passenger side. I'm considering just buying a new floor pan instead of just getting a half, just to be sure that it's rust free.

I'm looking on ebay trying to find the right floor pan, but I'm not entirely sure that the ones I'm looking at will work. It says its for the correct year, but it also says its for about 5-8 different model years. This is the one I'm looking at...

Is this the right part? And is it okay if I get the two halves instead of the whole piece in one? It's a lot cheaper it seems, what are the drawbacks of doing this though?

Consider buying your floor pans from a reputable parts supplier. There are many that advertise in MM. There will be someone to answer any questions you have. I would only replace the rusted out section. There is less chance of alignment issues and its less work.
