Hi, I have a 1966 Mustang GT that I am having a front end issue with.  I have the car completed stripped with no drivetrain.  I have rebuilt the front end completely and the front tires are still angled in at the top.  I have checked the measurements between the front shock tower supports and the inner fenders and the dimensions are spot on.  There is no evidence that the upper A arm supports are seperated from the shock towers.  Also, I have shimmed the upper A arms as far as I can.  I am frustrated at this point because I do not know what else to check.  Does anyone have any ideas? I don't think putting weight on the front end by installing the engine will cause the upper A arms to push out and correct this problem but I may be wrong.  Does anyone know what the measurement should be between the A arm bolts from side to side?  Thank you for looking.

Things will change once you put that motor in the front end. Your tire camber will tend to go more to zero (straight up and down) once the front end carries the weight it was designed to. If it still doesn't then come back on line since there are solutions for that. BTW if you are planning to do the Shelby A-arm mod on your car this would be a good time.

Jbirch is right on , the front end has to be at ride height before you can align the front end , also if you bought new lower control arms and if you still have the old ones make sure they are the same length. a 67 lower control arm is about 1.5" longer and will bolt right in place of the 65-66, i know i did it years ago for road racing and it will move the bottom of the tire further out.
