Hi guys, my 1965 c-4 automatic began leaking like a sieve from goodness knows where so I have been searching for a good affordable replacement. I have been thinking about a newer 4 or 5 speed automatic transmission. I was wondering what would mate up with my 24 spline 289? I wouldn't mind having another c-4 but the only affordable transmissions I could find are the newer 26 spline input. Is there some way I could adapt a 24 spline to a 26 spline? Where could I find a chart or something that could point me in the right direction?  Thanks, JC

You also might want to research the Ford Explorer and the Lincoln MKS.
