Has anyone ever had there magnum 500 rims re-chromed? Is it to costly or does it make more sense to buy new?

I had Western Chrome in Fresno "rechrome" one of my original Magnum 500 wheels. They actually took the center out of the old wheel and mounted it into a new rim with fresh chrome. Looks and works great. Cost about $60 five years ago.
