Hello all,

I have a 1964 1/2 mustang that was built in Dearborn, MI on 1 May 1964.  It has a 170 1v I6 engine and I'm trying to determine if it is original.  The number on the lower right side of the block is;

C4D
6015-A

The engine tag is still attached to the left side of the engine and it reads;

170    65   2
4-C    39-A

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

looks like the correct engine based on the core # data. Google for ford engine number decoders and you'll find your exact configuration. jlg
