I just bought a 66 mustang, according to the code in the car it comes with a 3-Speed Manual Transmission. I will like to change it to an automatic transmission, but since I want to keep it original I will like to change the code in the car. Were can I do that? buy it? remake it?...Help!!

if you want to change your transmission to an automatic.. that is totally allowed...
Changing the VIN numbers on the car... is a FEDERAL CRIME that ends you in FEDERAL PRISON along with the guys who swapped VINS on the eleanor cars...
its also FRAUD...

you could have the door tag changed to show it has a c4, the vin number does not have any drive line codes in it except for the motor type, you can get replacement tags made for the door, iam going from c4 to t5 and will change the tag to show it has a stick..

Hi 66, welcome to the forum. You can buy replacement door tags from www.Martiauto.com.
With the exception of the warranty No.(VIN) All data on the tag is eligible for revision based on installed equipment
