another wheel question

when they say hub centric or bolt centric, what do they mean? i have a 1970 mustang coupe with 14 standard steel wheels. i want to put on 15x8 black steel wheels (budget friendly). after market wheels do not say whether they are hub centric or bolt centric. does it matter ?
