perhaps a word was left out...
are you looking for a POWER STEERING pressure hose adaptor??? to go from the aluminum and plastic pump to a hose to the early steering control valve ????????
if that is what you are doing.. you have several options...
creating ONE hose from two.. as some parts stores.. and there are a few truck hydraulic hose stores that can take the 2 hoses .. remove the crimps and install new hose if you need it.. and properly crimp the 2 sections into one...
so you can get away with just a hose without adaptors..

Thanks so much for your reply. You are correct, thanks for giving me the proper name. I think that is what I'm looking for, as I'm trying to get the power steering control valve to go from the aluminum to the plastic pump
If I can avoid it I would hope to not have to end up creating 1 hose from 2 if that's possible.
Do you know where I can get this adapter ?
Thanks again for your help.

creating a single hose from TWO is the EASY way to go..
it will give you the PROPER shaped ends to connect...
i would bet that some company has already created it... one of the mustang suppliers...
power steering hoses for these are usually under 25 bucks each.. so you might be out 50 bucks for hoses.. and another 35 or so to get them spliced together..
you could actually go farther.. as some places that do hose repairs actually have ways to connect two pieces.. so you might be able to rotate the angle between the pieces to get it perfect..
what year is your 5.0 engine.. so i can get into my power steering hose catalog.. i might be able to help in the selection.. since the pumps are in the same general location.. you might be able to use a steel compression coupling and just use the end near the pump of the newer hose...
edit.. in looking at the old edelman power steering hose catalog..
the 67 mustang has 5 different power steering pressure hoses.. the biggest difference is in the tube size at the control valve.. where the hose from the pump connects..
is that hose on your mustang 5/16" tube or 1/4" tube.. please check the TUBE size with an open end combo wrench.. slipped over the tube where the pressure hose connects to the control valve..
NOT the TUBE NUT.. the TUBE.. 5/16" or 1/4"

this is the 70653 hose used on 67 small block cars with 5/16 valve end size tube.

this is the 71180 from a 82 to 89 5.0 mustang application... the right side in this image connects to the pump.

if your control valve has 1/4" tube .. this is the lower hose to use... Part Number: 80025 Alternate Part Number: 70645 this is the old number..

if you intend on getting these hoses spliced together.. please.. be sure to mark the hose sections for alignment.. so you don't end up with a hose that has the wrong twist to it..

one additional thought...
the aluminum pump outlet uses a 5/16 type 2 oring fitting.
you can sometimes get a hose end with a proper shape from a hose fab shop...
but if you remove the short elbow from the middle hose above.. one could silver solder on a 3/8 male SAE flare fitting.. so you could adapt the factory lower hose right to the end if the short adaptor you have made...
i would almost bet that one of the mustang suppliers has already created this short section for engine swaps.. if not they probably will after they read this post..
you could actually take 2 hoses the middle hose above.. 71180
and this 80026 use the pump end of the 71180 and the male SAE end of this 80026 hose.. and create your adaptor hose...

Howie, Wayne has the right idea if you're on a budget. Splicing two hoses is the easiest with a local hydraulic shop. Next would be a custom hose made from braided teflon hose. You might get lucky and find an adapter fitting to thread into the Mustang pump to use your original hose as well.
Check out my reply on the Modified Mustangs forum thread you started there. I linked to a story I did on hydroboost brakes and making custom power steering lines.
