convertible top for 1994 mustang v6

my convertible top doesnt want to go down. and my buttons for it arent working. ive checked all the fuses and im at a loss. im new to rebuilding american cars. Can anyone offer any advice ?

does the top motor run when you operate the switch.??? its behind the back seat.. but accessed through the trunk.. there is a panel to drop to access it..
if the top pump motor runs.. you might have a leak where your fluid has escaped..
no fluid no movement..
i don't know how the power top is wired on your car..

The '94 requires you to raise the parking brake handle before the top will be allowed to be raised or lowered by the switch. Make sure the parking brake is set before you try the top botton (with the key on of course).
Let's start at the beginning and see where the issue lies...
