i do see the power wire to the cigar lighter is blue with a white stripe... the color shown all the way to the right edge of the diagram... the lighter is to the right of the ignition switch.. but you knew that..

do you see the blue arrows... the wire to the hold down screw on the instrument cluster voltage regulator is the dash board ground.. only thing.. it has to be hooked up at both ends .. not the other blue arrow.. there there are what seems to be 3 ground wires hooked up to the brace on the firewall..

Thank you very much for your help Wayne ! I found the other end using a mirror so I could see on top of the fuse box. The wire was sticking out of the main wire bundle that came through the fire wall. Good luck braz Go MUSTANG

Wayne, I've been relying on you for the real info (complete with diagrams) for years now on different forums. Thanks a million buddy - it's ALWAYS appreciated.

guys while researching..
i also found a wire segment that i did not know was available..
its the neutral safety switch harness...

this connects the dash harness to the neutral safety switch..
there are several versions of this harness.. so be sure you get the right one..
and thanks for the complements.. i try to put my knowledge to work...
after reading the post about the fire at the starter solenoid... i would really think about swapping the power wire for the back up lights from the lighter circuit to a SWITCHED power connector.. so it goes off with the key...
