Have a steering problem. Just installed a new Flaming River steering box/ manual steering. Now the rag joint rubs on the z-bar when steering wheel is turned. Some times it keeps the clutch from fulling releasing untill I turn the wheel. Z-bar was changed 2 years ago and was ok. Z-bar is for the 69 sport roof 351W. Wondering if anyone ele has had this problem? Is there a smaller diameter rag joint that could be used? 69 Mach1 351W 4 speed toploader.
Thanks JRW69

Possibly change out the rag joint for a standard steering vibration isolator. Flaming River and others have them. Essentially it is a tube filled with dense rubber and splined to fit your column and box. It is a low profile part used a lot in street rods.
