searching for wife's first car

My wife's first car was a new 1965 Mustang convertible. she was wondering if there was any way to find out where the car is now? Very sentimental about that car. I have the ELEVEN digit serial number but it doesn't compute with some of the search sites i have used so far.
Any help would be appreciated.

Tom what is the VIN.? It's the only real way of identifying the car. When and who did you sell to, thebmorevinfo you give the greater the chances of tracking.
