Have a 64.5 Mustang. Has factory power brakes however power is not working. Brakes are ok. Need to know how to repair power brakes.

how do you know they aren't working -what is the symptom? power brakes normal failure mode is a too hard pedal.

Yes, that is the problem, hard pedal. Have new master cylindar, bands are excellent, no problem stopping just hard pedal certainly not normal for power.

Nice how it works article. not much for t'sing on the car however

Bottom line, if you can confirm there is vacuum coming from the engine (pull the check valve out of the booster with the engine running- the engine should die or stumble) and the pedal is still hard, the Booster should be considered defective.
