1967 foglights

I just added a foglight kit to my 67 mustang. I read somewhere that 67's already had the wiring installed and a wiring kit was not necessary. I located two sets of leads on each side and plugged them in without the foglight switch installed(on order). Oddly enough, the foglights come on when I open the doors??? Any thoughts of why this would happen?

you have probably hooked the fog lights to a green and yellow stripe wire under the dash board..
thats the door open power wire for the dome lights..

I am about to start a restor on a 67 and want to add fog lights too. Let me know what you come up with.
