 My question is about my 1972 Mach 1 with a 351c cobra jet. My car has steel chrome, power by ford, valve covers very similar to the 1969 Boss 302 units. Years ago I read an article (perhaps written by Bob Perkins, but not sure). The article showed the Boss valve covers next to the CJ units. The main difference was how the wire loom was attached. Everyone knowledgable about Mustangs has said that these valve covers were not availible in 72. The Marti report does not mention them. I'm starting to think they were blue and a previous owner had them chromed. Any input would be welcomed.
