Many years ago (20 ) the complete front and rear suspension was replaced with a NDP peformance kit. It included, as it does today,620 frt springs, urethane bushings, big stablizer bar, rear springs and stabilizer bar, rear lowering blocks and ky shocks. The 620 springs where said to lower the front an inch or so. However the opposite appeared, front raised about an inch or more, looks more like a old mild gasser. The car was only test driven at the time and put into storage till last year I put it back on the street. The suspension works and handles great, though the front is reasonably stiff. My question is did I get the wrong frt springs, 390V8 instead of small block, how do I tell, and what kind of spring replacement should I get,to get the lower hieght.

somebody will know of spring rates.. but do you have a dial caliper or a micrometer??? to get a wire diameter measurement of the front spring material..

It sounds to me like you tightend up the control arm pivot bolts with the suspension hanging (sitting on jack stands). Any rubber suspension bushings need to be tightened at ride height, otherwise you're putting pre-load into them which can raise the front end as you are seeing. This goes for sway bar bushings as well. I would loosen all bushing bolts (control arms, strut rods, sway bar, etc.) and push the front end up and down to cycle the suspension and see if it settles. Then re-tighten everything with the vehicle weight on the suspension.
HTH... Mark
