Has anyone had the pleasure to replace these seals ?? Looks to me that there are three screws holding the pivot to the crowl panel, is this right ??? I need some advice on this subject.
That is correct. There are three machine screws per pivot. You access them from behind/under the dash. Depending upon the state of assembly on your car it can be a bit of a pain. I've done them on two cars and both were during restoration with empty dashes. If your car is assembled your best bet is to pull the steering wheel, gauge cluster, glove box door and glove box insert for access. You don't have to unbolt the wiper motor and transmission arms, but unclipping the transmission arms from the motor does make it a little easier. The screws can be tough to get out, so make sure you don't round anything off. When I did my two sets I used the foam replacements from NPD. Now they sell a correct leather one. Not sure which is better for longevity, but you do have options.HTH...Mark.
